Pea Soup

In: Starters




  • 1 clove Garlic
  • 25 g Butter
  • 900 g Peas
  • 1.2 litres Vegetable Stock


  1. Heat the butter in a large pan and fry the crushed garlic for a couple of minutes.
  2. Add the peas and the stock and bring to the boil.
  3. Put the lid on the pan and simmer for 6 mins.
  4. Add a pinch of salt and pepper.
  5. Blend the soup to make it smooth.
  6. Heat through and serve.


You can use frozen peas, so this is a great soup to do at short notice!

I have the Dualit Hand Blender which makes this recipe much easier as you can blend it in the pan.
