  Cooking temperature: 170°C

  • 30 g Hazelnuts
  • 110 g Margarine
  • 75 g Brown Sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Golden Syrup
  • 110 g Self Raising Flour
  • 110 g Oats

  1. Pre-heat the oven and line some baking trays with greaseproof paper.
  2. Chop the hazelnuts and put to one side (buy ready chopped to save time).
  3. Melt the margarine, sugar and syrup in a small saucepan.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix the flour, oats and hazelnuts.
  5. When the margarine, sugar and syrup have melted, pour into the bowl with the flour, oats and hazelnuts.
  6. Mix together to make a dough.
  7. Take a small piece of the dough and roll it in your hands to about the size of a golf ball.
  8. Place on the greaseproof paper and flatten it to about 1cm thick.
  9. Repeat until all the dough is used.
  10. Cook for about 15 mins and cool them on the baking tray for about 10 mins before transferring them to a cooling rack (or eating them!).
