Frangipane
The photograph shows this frangipane on some mince pie bakewell tarts. The flaked almonds on top are optional.

Cooking temperature: 160°C
Ingredients
- 60 g Butter
- 60 g Caster Sugar
- 60 g Ground Almonds
- 15 g Plain Flour
- 0.25 teaspoon Baking Powder
- 1 Egg
- 0.5 teaspoon Almond Essence
Method
- Put all the ingredients into a food processor and whizz together. Easy.
- Cooking times will depend on what it's going on or in. One batch will top 12 individual Bakewell tarts, which take about 20 mins to cook.
